Mechanical Engineer

Zenco Technical is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a market- leading building services engineering contractor for projects based in Leinster

Responsibilities:

• Undertake a full design review of drawings, specifications and schedules to ensure compliance with the applicable standards and industry guides.
• Undertake a full design review of drawings, specifications and schedules to ensure compliance with the applicable standards and industry guides.
• Responsible for developing engineering alternative solutions, including detailed calculations and sketches for client approval.
• Detailed review of specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specification and applicable industry standards.
• Prepare and monitor procurement schedule in conjunction with the procurement team.
• Review of the coordinated construction drawings along with documentation.
• Prepare and issue RFI’s to the client.
• Prepare and monitor technical submittals for approval by the client.
• Review BCAR preliminary inspection plan.
• Coordinate with the quality team.
• Monitor LEED and BREEAM requirements and submittals as required.
• Assistance with client demonstrations.

Requirements:

• A Level 7/8 Degree in Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical project engineering.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems from a design or construction perspective.
• Good knowledge of the current mechanical standards within Ireland.
• Capable of working as part of a team and on own initiative.
