Irish Engineering Firms are looking to hire in 2021
Utility organisations such as electricity, water, gas and telecommunications companies were most optimistic, with 94pc looking to hire engineers in the year ahead. Meanwhile, the pandemic’s effect on the construction industry meant that civil and building engineers were more impacted than the average engineer, according to the report.

€2bn Wind Park proposed for site 13km off Wicklow Coast
The Codling Wind Park project would be located off the coast of Co Wicklow, between Greystones and Wicklow town, and is expected to have capacity to generate up to 1,500 megawatts of electricity, enough to power the equivalent of 1.2 million homes.

NTR acquires Irish solar and battery projects
Total costs for the projects amount to €29m. The projects were acquired by the NTR Renewable Energy Income Fund II, a wind, solar and energy storage fund that operates across a number of European markets.

260 New Jobs Coming to Cork
